David O'Hara writes for January aimZine

David O'Hara, Founder of Blackthorn Focus, appears again in the January edition of aimZine, the online magazine for the AIM community.

For an article titled '2010 Aspirations', David contacted eight experts on London's junior market to ask what they would like to see change in 2010. Blackthorn Focus would like to thank all those people for sharing their insights. Thanks to:

Kelly Gardiner, Hybridan
Henry Harrison-Topham, Managing Director, Abchurch Communications
Paul Parker, Investment Manager, Collins Stewart Wealth Management
Chris Searle, Partner, Corporate Finance, BDO
Shane Smith, CEO, IIR Group, irideus.org and PSQ Analytics
Marcus Stuttard, Head of AIM, London Stock Exchange
Tony Vine-Lott, Director, Tax-Incentivised Savings Association (TISA)
Tim Ward, Chief Executive, Quoted Companies Alliance

David O'Hara's piece focused on the perceived lack of engagement from institutional investors in the AIM market. "This is an important issue going into 2010" said O'Hara. "A number of AIM companies are failing to interact properly with the investment community and operate as a listed company should. This does a disservice to their investors and by damaging the reputation of the junior market affects all other AIM-listed companies. Improvements in governance and corporate behaviour could be brought about by investors much faster than any regulation would manage."
